Got to ride in a Cybertruck for the first time a few weeks ago and I was very impressed with the FSD. I wasn't much of a believer in it but watching it in action convinced me. So here I am, considering either a new Tesla Model Y, or even the Tesla Model 3.

I do have a question though, can I expect the FSD driving experience to be the same as the Cybertruck.... there's a big price difference so I can only imagine the hardware is different?

Welcome to the forum! I'm enjoying my Cybertruck so much that I'm also considering getting a Model 3 Performance or a new Model Y. The FSD is the same experience as the new Model 3 and Model Y. All the new Teslas come with the latest and greatest Hardware 4.

One feature of the new Model Y over the Cybertruck and the Model 3 is the Summon feature. The new Tesla Model Y "Juniper" does include the Summon feature, specifically both the "Dumb Summon" and "Actually Smart Summon" (ASS) capabilities.
  • Dumb Summon allows the vehicle to move forward or backward in a straight line.
  • Actually Smart Summon (ASS) enables the car to navigate to the owner or a designated location within a parking lot or similar area, using the Tesla mobile app.
These features were noted to be part of the software update 2024.27.20, which introduced ASS. The availability of these features in the Model Y Juniper is confirmed through various sources, including Tesla's official release notes and discussions from users on platforms like X

Welcome @El Chorizo to the new Model Y Forum! I was super impressed with FSD the first time I used it as well. It's a game changer IMHO.
