Jeremiah Jones - Driving The New Tesla Model Y Juniper: Next-Level!

Here's an very in depth review/first impressions from DBurkland on X:

AUDIO SYSTEM:
I didn’t expect much from the new Model Y’s audio system, given how satisfied I was with the Model Y's system. I connected to TIDAL via my WiFi hotspot for HiFi listening, and the difference was immediately noticeable - clearer vocals, richer bass, and an overall superior sound compared to the last system. Somehow someway the @Tesla audio team delivered once again and they deserve all the credit in the world!-

SUSPENSION:
Suspension was my biggest gripe with the previous generation Model Y, so I planned a route with some rough roads in mind (like Marshall St NE and parts of downtown near the North Loop). These areas are brutal, full of potholes and pavement heaves that make for a challenging ride. I also drove around Nicollet Island, where the cobblestone roads are tough, especially the transitions from concrete to cobblestone and back. The new Model Y's suspension handled everything I threw at it with ease, keeping the ride comfortable and NVH by about 3-4 times compared to our 2022 Model Y Performance. Even at higher speeds and with sudden steering changes, the ride stayed smooth without sacrificing comfort or performance. Over bumps, there's no more booming or pressurized feeling in the rear, and the suspension is impressively quiet, even on large potholes or rough patches. I can tell this was a huge focus area for
@larsmoravy and team and I just want to say thank you for listening!

CABIN NOISE:
The cabin noise feels nearly identical to my Model S Plaid - which is a good thing - and in some instances, I’d argue it’s even quieter, especially over bumps. Wind noise is noticeably reduced thanks to the new door seals, upgraded glass, and redesigned side mirrors, which effectively redirect airflow away from the windows. You can now have a conversation with passengers at a low volume without needing to raise your voice, even at highway speeds. I measured 68dB at 70 mph today while cruising down Highway 100 North. Motor noise is pleasantly noticeable during heavy acceleration (but never annoying).

PERFORMANCE:
The acceleration, especially with the Acceleration Boost, is more than sufficient—even for someone like my Dad, who’s used to muscle cars. He couldn’t stop saying, “This thing is a rocket ship.” Even after driving my wife’s Model Y Performance, the new Model Y with the boost feels plenty fast and is only marginally slower from 0-30 mph. For everyday driving, it’s more than enough!-
