Tesla Launches FSD Supervised Ride-Hailing Service for Austin & SF Bay Area employees!

Tesla Robotaxi Ride-Hailing App - first official look.webp

Big news from Tesla! The company has officially kicked off its FSD Supervised ride-hailing service for a select group of employees in Austin and the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a major step toward Tesla’s vision of a fully autonomous robotaxi network, and it’s exciting to see it in action!
Here’s the scoop:
  • Over 1,500 trips and 15,000 miles have already been logged, showcasing some serious progress.
  • The service is powered by Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised technology, with a safety driver present to monitor and intervene if needed.
  • This pilot is helping Tesla fine-tune critical components like FSD networks, the mobile app, vehicle allocation, mission control, and remote assistance operations.
The ride-hailing feature is integrated directly into the Tesla app (no separate app needed!), and a promotional video showed off a Model 3 equipped with a backseat screen for passengers to view trip details, control climate, music, and even hit an emergency stop button. Pretty sleek setup!

This is good news! Glad to see them keep pushing this tech forward.
